Vancouver Island's mild winters makes it one of the best places to catch a glimpse of the Black Bear. As they generally spend only 2 months in hibernation and often come out of hibernation to feed. Vancouver Island has the highest density of black bears in North America, and a total estimated population of 12,000. Although bears are sometimes seen roadside, which we agree can be thrilling, the best way to marvel at this mammal is in its natural habitat. It is one of the most common large mammals on Vancouver Island and contact with humans is frequent, especially in small coastal communities.
Inspiration; it comes easy living on Vancouver Island
Our home is the second largest Pacific Island east of New Zealand and boasts the warmest climate Canada has to offer.
Backdropped by the majestic coastal mountains of British Columbia to the east and the rugged coast line of the North Pacific to the West. It is truly one of the most spectacular places in the world. Living amongst the abundance of wild life and nature, we wanted to develop an apparel company that encompasses all the aspects of life on the island and what it means to those who live and visit here.
Our designs reflect the uniqueness of Vancouver Island, and tell the story of living and visiting this beautiful West Coast Canadian Island.
